Anna Adams

Anna is a national-level expert in public, health and regulatory law with over 25 years’ experience in advisory work and litigation, ranging from large-scale public cases through to small, personal matters. She was a partner with MC (Meredith Connell) for more than 15 years.

After starting as a commercial litigator in New York, Anna’s New Zealand career has spanned public, administrative and local government law (particularly Auckland’s legislation and infrastructure), judicial review, medico-legal proceedings, coroners’ inquiries, human rights, vulnerable persons, privacy and information law matters.  

Anna has advised on public policy and regulatory systems, governance and anti-corruption issues in large organisations and previously served as the chair of MC and a board member of the Civil Aviation Authority.  

She has a special focus on health law: patient, practitioner or hospital, medicines, mental health, capacity, and the treatment environment.
